Why do I need to Winterize my irrigation system?
Even if you have drained the water out of your irrigation system, some water remains and can freeze, expand, and crack. To minimize the risk of freeze damage, you’ll need to winterize your irrigation system. Winterization is necessary in Iowa to prevent freeze damage.
What is an irrigation "blow out"?
The ritual of irrigation “blow out” becomes the priority for all irrigation systems in regions located where the frost level extends below the depth of installed piping. Irrigation systems are installed using one of three types of water removal: manual drain, auto drain, or blowout. Turner Irrigation can determine which method should be used with your system.
Can I turn my system on by myself in the spring?
It is always best to hire a certified irrigation professional. There are important start-up steps to make sure pipes and irrigation components aren’t damaged. Turner Irrigation provides Spring Start Up in all of our Maintenance Packages.
Do I need a backflow test?

Are repair costs covered in my maintenance package?
Costs for repairs are in addition to your Maintenance Package. A benefit to purchasing our Platinum Package is a 10% reduction off replacement parts.
